The Examination will be conducted in three tiers as indicated below:
Tier -I -- Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier -II -- Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier -III -- Personality Test cum Interview/Computer Proficiency Test/
Skill Test (wherever applicable)/Document Verification
Tier I Examination
A. General Intelligence + Reasoning - 50 marks
B. General Awareness - 50 marks
C. Quantitative Aptitude - 50 marks
D. English Comprehension - 50 marks
Duration: 2 hours
Total Marks - 200
There is no sectional cut off.
Tier II Examination
I.Quantitative Abilities : 200 marks (100 Questions)
Duration: 2 hours
II.English Language & Comprehension: 200 marks.
Duration : 2 hours
Total Marks : 400
There is no separate cut-off for Tier II.
It is calculated on the basis of total sum of Tier I + Tier II marks.
Interview
Total Marks: 100
So final selection is based on the combined marks of Tier 1, Tier 2 and Interview. (Total marks = 200 + 400 + 100 = 700)

- The test shall be of objective type and in Hindi and English except for the Test of English. Candidates have to select the most appropriate answer and ‘mouse click’ that alternative which they feel is appropriate/ correct. The alternative/option that is clicked on will be treated as the answer to that question.
- There will be penalty for wrong answers i.e. for every wrong answer, one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question will be deducted from those obtained by the candidates.
- The venue of the examination will be intimated through Call Letter/ Information Handout which will be sent to the candidates separately.

RBI Deputy Governors
There are four Deputy Governors in Reserve Bank of India. Traditionally RBI appoints Deputy Governors in the following pattern:
- Two out of the four Deputy Governors of RBI are appointed from the RBI cadre and is selected from the Reserve Bank's Executive Directors.
- One of the Deputy Governors will be nominated from the Chairpersons of the Public Sector Banks.
- The remaining one will be a reputed economist.
Current Deputy Governors of RBI are:
- H. R. Khan
- R. Gandhi
- Dr. Urjit Patel
- S. S. Mundra
H. R. Khan and R. Gandhi are from the RBI cadre. (Recently R. Gandhi replaced Anand Sinha as the Deputy Governor)
Dr. Urjit Patel is a reputed economist.
S. S. Mundra was the Chairman & Managing Director of Bank of Baroda. (In March 2014, Deputy Governor Dr. K. C. Chakrabarty resigned three months before his term was to end. On August 1, 2014, S.S. Mundra took charge as the Deputy Governor)

2014 State legislative assembly elections
Legislative assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim took place along with Lok Sabha elections held in April/May 2014.
Andhra Pradesh State Assembly election, 2014
- Combined election for 294 seats in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana legislative assemblies held on April/May 2014. (Telangana state officially became India's 29th state on June 2, 2014).
- In Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) won a total of 102 seats out of the 175 assembly seats. The Chief Minister is N. Chandrababu Naidu.
- In Telangana, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won a total of 63 seats out of the 119 assembly seats. The Chief Minister is K. Chandrashekar Rao.
Arunachal Pradesh State Assembly election, 2014
- Assembly elections to the Arunachal Pradesh assembly were held on April 2014.
- Indian National Congress (INC) won a total of 42 seats out of the 60 assembly seats.
- Chief Minister is Nabam Tuki.
Odisha State Assembly election, 2014
- Assembly elections to the Odisha assembly were held on April 2014.
- Biju Janata Dal (BJD) won a total of 117 seats out of the 147 assembly seats.
